VA Wearside G5

In the 5 player round robin, Sam first beat Max McGregor G2 4-2. Second up was Hugo Lofgrun G2 beaten 4-1. Then on to Libby Darley G1 for Sam's first win towards his Green 1* by winning 4-0. Sam then played Finn Logue to determine the group winner. Sam lost 4-1, but went through to the semi-final as runner-up. In the semi Sam played Casey Patterson and won 4-3 in a tiebreak (5-2). Sam then faced Finn again in the final, but despite going 2-0 up and playing some great attacking tennis (Finn was great defensively) Sam lost 4-2. Overall an excellent afternoon.
